About The Project
Mystic Lyon (at the crossroads of Lyons Avenue and Mystic Street) is an art space and social sculpture (concept coined by conceptual artist Joseph Bueys) in Houston’s historic Fifth Ward. Installations remain on view in our storefront 24 hours a day. Additional programming includes pay phone call-ins to the artists, physical and metaphysical happenings, community coffees, and events benefitting neighborhood endeavors. It is also the home of the Center for Centering studio focusing on the process of making with clay, the Fifth Ward Badminton Club, and a founder and host of the Fifth Ward Chamber of Commerce.
